Sharkwater Goes Deep – 4 stars

There is no doubt while watching the stunning underwater adventure, Sharkwater, that Rob Stewart’s love for sharks takes a front seat in his life.

Stewart takes us on a journey that you won’t quite believe. He challenges stereotypes that sharks are blood-thirsty killers through stunning underwater images of his own interaction with them. On his underwater journey Stewart lands right in the middle of a major controversy that exposes the exploitation and corruption surrounding the world’s shark populations in the marine reserves of Cocos Island, Costa Rica and the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador.

The film takes an exciting turn when Stewart teams up with conservationist Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Their adventure puts them in contact with dangerous poachers who threaten their lives and their livelihoods.

Throughout the journey, Stewart perseveres and focuses on what matters to him most, the conservation of a species that could ultimately be extinct.

The underwater segments are truly first class- gorgeous would be an understatement- and are accompanied by some stunning music tracks.

Sharkwater is fascinating, exciting, and truthful and should not to be missed. It will most certainly alter your opinion as to how you view these creatures and the world they live in.
