  2. Rob Stewart’s movie Sharkwater is just amazing. Not only has it changed my perspective toward sharks but towards the entire world. It hurt more than I thought it would I found out that he had passed. When I heard that he was found I almost had a spark of hope that he was alive, but considering the amount of days he’s was missing that obviously wasn’t likely. I am currently working on spreading awareness about this in my school. I hope everyone gets to learn his story. R.I.P Rob Stewart ❤️???✌?

  3. I highly respect and am inspired by Rob Stewart’s work. I am an elementary teacher and have used his movie Revolution as a kickstart to my grade 6s biodiversity science fair. It opens their eyes to the main topics of deforestation, climate change, ocean acidification, etc. Every year, the kids are inspired, eager to further research these topics and develop ways they can change the world. Thank you Rob for teaching us and inspiring the younger generation that they too can make a difference. I will continue to honour you by educating the kids I teach.

  4. Rob’s movie Sharkwater changed my life when I was a teenager. After watching it, it was kind of magical, I was not the same person and I was passionated about sharks. Unfortunately, I don’t live near the ocean so I couldn’t join as an active member to protect our oceans. But Rob was really inspiring me, I created blogs about sharks to tell the whole world sharks were in dangers, reading all books and visiting museums about sharks, talking of Rob’s movies to people I knew. I never had the chance to meet him nor talk to him, but for me, he was a hero. He was the defender of the ocean, defender of the sharks, he had the chance to make things move for our planet. I was so deeply sad hearing the news last week, I think this was the first time ever I cried for someone i’ve never meet… I’ll never forget him and what he has done. He will still inspire me after all those years, and I hope that soon I will also do more things to protect sharks and our planet, even if it’s just at a little scale, because Rob teach us that all together we can make things change.
Rob Stewart, you will never be forgotten, thank you for all you’ve done. Rest in peace, we will always love you.

  8. Hello,

Rob was a world class leader who moved me personally from my views and comfort zone as I know he did for millions of others around the world. Please know his life and contribution has true meaning and inspiration for generations to come.
I’m heart broken, like I was when we lost John Lennon. I wanted Rob’s voice to continue to unify our hearts , to lead our intentions and fortify our future.

You should be extremely proud as a family, all anyone needs to know about how wonderful you are was demonstrated through your amazing son and brother Rob.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, I plan to attend on the 18th to show support and honour one of the most important Canadians and world leaders of our time.

From my life in public service and a governing principal in my life : “Time will prove integrity right” . Rob you are right and the world will hear you!!

    Love to you all,
Thank you for the gift of Rob.

PS: Rob helped me face my fears. My father was a founding member of the Aquateers of Canada yet I grew up fearing salt water, mainly because of sharks. I’m now a PADI certified diver and love it. The first time the dive master pointed out a shark I actually accelerated to see it. Robs message was so powerful at that moment and always will be. Thank you again.

  10. Hi, while I have never met Rob I feel like I have lost a friend. There is one story I would like to share. Shortly after seeing Sharkwater my family went to a Sushi restaurant that had Shark Fin soup on the menu. I called over the waitress and told her about what was happening to the sharks and she checked with the manager and assured me it was only shark fin soup in name and no actual shark was in it. Later when serving soup she joked “here is your shark fin sir. ”
A few weeks later while we were honoring remembrance day at our local cenotaph this same waitress came up to me and told me how she watched Sharkwater and how horrified she was at was happening and how she told all of her friends. We owe it to Rob to continuing to spread his message especially after his death. The sharks and us have lost a hero and a friend.
