onit seetooplease save these innocent angels!!!
i feel disgusted with what we do to these caring animals when the world mostly depends on them!!!
this documentary is absoloutely heart-breaking, and heart-warming! i think that these sharks are being under appreciated for what they do for us humans!
this was an amazing documentary.it was so informative on this problem. i learned so much and it completely changed my prespective on the shark. i hope we can all work together and prevent the extinction of this wonderfull creature
saraiAlthough i was aware of shark finning i had no ideas of the true scale of the problem. I have researched other sources of information and it is true; Around 90% of the world\ s shark species are either decimated already or in danger of extinction. As the documentary suggests wiping out top predators can have disastrous effects such as the explosion of Humboldt Squid in the Sea of Cortez.
David Brooks www.theendlessblue.comTruly awesome documentary. I am a scuba instructor, and I have always promoted the grace and beauty of the shark to my students (mainly black tip reef sharks here in Muscat). It is devastating to see that so many of these truly wonderful creatures are being depleted in their tens of thousands worldwide daily. Archimedes once said - Give me a lever strong enough and I can move the world. Together, we can help stop this abhorrent practice of shark finning.
Mike Dickson - www.muscatscuba.comAs an Ecologist I under line the importance of top predators in every ecological system. We have so many examples were the disappearance of a top predator has disastrous effects to every part of the ecosystem it lives in. Wolves, dingo, tiger, lion: Time and time again we see a degradation of habitat when these disappear. In the ocean the effects aren’t visible as much, yet. But if a similar effect occurs in the ocean as on land we are in for a big shock. Our dependency for oxygen, food, seasons and life is clearly bound with the oceans.
Jacques CopWe should save sharks!!
