About the Floral Banded Wobbegong

The Floral Banded Wobbegong is a species of carpet shark member of the family Orectolobidae, found in the Indian Ocean off South Western Australia.

Little is known about this species biology. Males can reach a maximum size between 72.5 to 75 cm TL and females between 67.4 to 71.4 cm TL. This species is thought to be viviparous based on the reproductive mode of other specimens from other orectolobid species.
