Washington Environmental Film Festival

The Environmental Film Festival in Washington, D.C. is the largest environmental festival in the world and the longest running in the United States. This year, Sharkwater Extinction won the Shared Earth Foundation Award for Advocacy at the Environment Film Festival.

Sharkwater Extinction filmmaker Rob Stewart’s parents, Sandy and Brian Stewart, accepted the award on his behalf. Along with Team Sharkwater member Brock Cahill, who founded The SeaChange Agency, they also took part in a discussion moderated by Kathryn Kullberg, Director of Marine and Wildlife Protection, The Humane Society of the United States.
