  2. Is SharkWater 2: Extinction ever going to come out regardless of Rob Stewart’s death? :(. I wish he survived.

  3. I cannot express how heartbroken I am to hear of your passing. You were my hero; my Superman. You have done so much for the environment and for sharks. You will always serve to be an inspiration for others, and your love of sharks will live on in the hearts and minds of all of us – it will live on in me. You have created a generation of young conservationists, and that is incredible. I first watched Sharkwater when I was 12, and as someone who has loved sharks since I was little, I was in tears to finally see someone who loved sharks as much as I do. You became an inspiration, you helped me decide to go to school for conservation and ecological restoration. You showed me how powerful words and actions could be, and I hope that I can even accomplish a quarter of what you did in your lifetime. “We all come from the sea, but we are not all of the sea. Those of us who are, we children of the tides, mist return to it again and again, until the day we don’t come back leaving only that which was touched along the way.”. My deepest condolences to your family, and may you sleep peacefully.

  5. World lost such a great man. This planet needs people like him, he was necessary. Thoughts and prayers for him and his family. I will never forget the first time I saw Sharkwater. It transformed me and I’m sure oceans seem a bit empty now. Great loss for me, great loss for sharks, great loss for Earth. Thank you for everything you did.

  8. Thank you Rob for you love, devotion and kindness in helping to have a voice for those that cannot speak for themselves. Thank you for making myself and my friends aware of such tragedies that exist in our world and helping make the world a much much better place. You are a true gem Rob for devoting your life to all us and making this world a truly better place to live in. Now is it up to us to be your voice and be heard so you did not give your life in vain! May the Angels of the Ocean take care of you know as you have taken care of them! Thank you to the Stewart Family for their son and sharing them with the world. Our deepest condolences to Rob’s family is such a time of loss. May your son and brother rest in peace doing what he loved!

  9. Through my tears as salty as the seas I type words that sound nearly empty. To express the depth of my grieving over such a monumental loss, the loss of a soul who came, inspired, and enlightened and lived a life worth living, I fall short. I feel as if the hope for a better, kinder, and compassionate world has left this planet. I shed tears for his untimely death, his family, the sharks, the oceans, and for all the non-human animals who need protecting against us humans.

In shock of it all, I do want to say that meeting Rob at the 2015 teachers’ convention was as beautiful as worrisome. His message was grave and as clear as the blue waters in his film.
Rob: Thank you for sharing your knowledge and the least I can do is
to make sure that every student of mine will know of you and
    your cause.

My admiration of his character and spirit will never cease and I thank him for all he had done for the magnificent beings of the seas. Earth, the oceans, and the sharks lost a great friend, a true hero and peaceful warrior. Please, those of you involved in making Sharkwater 2 continue in the journey. May his vision and spirit live on!

  10. Rest in peace Rob Stewart. You inspired and taught me so much. I’ll never forget what you accomplished for the sharks of our world. It is now our time to pick up your torch and keep the fight going for the most amazing creatures on our planet. Thank you for everything you accomplished Rob, may you rest in peace. ???

  11. My heart has been heavy since I heard the news. As mentioned on the homepage of this website, there are no words. You have inspired me, and brought to life a passion for the ocean and for sharks that I never knew existed. I want to do everything in my power to continue on your legacy, but no one will ever match you. You will be eternally loved and missed

  12. A true ambassador in the fight to save our sharks, our oceans and our planet. Thank you for the education, and the continuous fight to save our sharks. I’ll think of you each and every time I get to see one whilst out diving.
